We are currently seeking an experienced Marketing Associate with strong graphic design skills and a solid understanding of marketing principles to support North American marketing efforts - position reports to the Director of Marketing. Ideal candidate must work efficiently in independent environment with an ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines preferably working out of corporate headquarters located in Redwood City.
Primary Responsibilities
- You will be required to design and produce a broad range of graphic projects from creative concept development to production including:
- Slicks, Brochures, Case studies and other printed collateral
- Power Point illustrations and graphs
- Direct mail pieces
- Html e-mails/newsletters
- Advertisements (online & print)
- Product Logo Design/UI support
- Tradeshow Panels & Graphics
- Frequent collaboration with Marketing Director to strategize and develop programs that generate demand including, but not limited to database management, tradeshow logistics coordination, collateral development, and campaigns
- Artwork creation (magazine ads, catalogs, flyers, brochures, stock art production, etc.) and cleanup to make "camera ready".
- Work with ClarusIPC product manager on various UI updates and graphical report needs.
- Perform routine updates, upgrades and overall maintenance of web site including form pages and flash demonstrations.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing/Communications or Graphics School with business courses taken.
- 2-4 years product and/or service marketing experience required.
- Previous experience in IP Telephony space a plus.
- Strong writing skills that effectively position our product differentiators
- Strong understanding of marketing principles including new business development tactics
- Graphics arts background, publishing software, web development
- Print design experience with prepress skills
- Able to efficiently build and prepare electronic files for both process and spot color printing
- Team player with strong verbal, written and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail
- Enthusiastically embraces the company vision and mission of a team working together for the growth of the company by providing superior design efficiently
- Innovative, creative problem solver who meets deadlines and accurately edits and proofs own work
- Design & publishing software: AdobeCS suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Flash. Working knowledge of Quark Xpress a plus.
- Perl, UNIX (freebsd) MS Visual Basic.NET, HTML, PHP, ASP, Javascript, SQL.
- Familiarity with search engine optimization design principles
